Hooooooooooooooooooooot!

And not with two Ts.

But it looks like tomorrow and this weekend, things are going to cool down here in the humid and hot mid-Atlantic region. Yay.

Last weekend was really nice. I spent a lot of time at the pool at Trip's apartment and my apartment complex. I got a bit of a tan and enjoyed the water. I can't seem to find my goggles though, which is a bit annoying.

This weekend, I've got a going-away party for one of my friends here in Baltimore. He's leaving in a couple weeks to move to New Zealand for graduate school. I'm sad that he's leaving -- we did, after all, spend two years teaching Confirmation together -- but I'm really excited for him. He's going to be in New Zealand for around 3 years and has told me that I would be welcome to visit him. So...I'm going to be saving up to go to New Zealand now! International travel, woo! The party is just drinks and appetizers. I'm planning on doing something interesting with crescent rolls and cheese and maybe some ham and broccoli? Who knows.

Trip's parents are also coming down on Sunday for church and something afterwards. I'm hoping we just end up going out for lunch/brunch somewhere. Can't go wrong with a good brunch!

Oh! How could I forget? The excitement of Project Runway last night! Keith got kicked off for having contraband items aka pattern making books and using the Internet! It was quite an interesting episode. I really love this show.

I'm also thinking about getting a "real" cellphone. Right now I have a pay-as-you-go plan from Virgin Mobile, but I find myself using it more and more. So it would make sense to have a real plan that I would use more often... I'm probably going to go with Verizon because that's what Trip and my sister have and I believe you get free calls to Verizon customers. But I am kind of sad -- I really love my slider phone and there don't seem to be any slider phones available any more! (Trip has one, but Verizon appears to have discontinued it!) I could get the brand-spankin' new Chocolate phone which has an MP3 player along with the phone capabilities, but it seems a bit excessive. Plus it'd probably cost at least $150-200 to get! Yikes! BUT -- it's a slider! I'm planning to go to the Verizon store on Saturday and see if I can actually touch the Chocolate phone. Otherwise, I'll probably get the typical flip-phones like everyone else. Oh well! Conformity rules!
