I had Monday as my day off, so I decided to catch up on cleaning and everything. It wasn't a very exciting day, really, so I don't know why I am recapping it.

But I made dinner for Trip -- herb and Parmesan-stuffed chicken breasts, risotto, green beans, and apple crisp with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. In a word, delicious. And I hadn't ever really successfully made risotto before, so I was pretty impressed with myself that it turned out really, really tasty. I didn't really do it as an occasion -- more because I had the day off and we didn't spend a lot of time together -- but I did realize after inviting him that it was our two month anniversary. Of "officialness."

Did I just use the word "officialness?" Wow. That's really interesting. Or substitute your favorite adjective for sappy.

Anyway, I'm going to move on to more interesting (at least to the general public) topics.

I'm well on my way to reading 100 books this year and I'm thinking that if I push through, I could make 110, maybe even 120. 120 would probably be a good goal -- that's like 10 books a month. I have been averaging about 8 books per month -- about two a week. So expect a big book round-up sometime soon. It's been (probably) a couple months since I caught y'all up on my reading habits.

I'm also hard at work on creating a Christmas list -- because I know everyone who reads my blog wants to know what to get me for Christmas. Maybe not, but I still like making an electronic list. And honestly, I would like to get some fun and off-beat long sleeved T-shirts for wearing on the weekend. Any suggested websites? I love Glarkware and Neighborhoodies, but they only do T-shirts and sweatshirts. What if you want something in between???
