This week has been all about holiday parties at work, which means big, filling lunches. I spent the day outside (11 hours!) on Saturday in the heat at the Virgin Festival at Pimlico.  The Beastie Boys were AWESOME!!!!!  And also deserving of many, many exclamation points. The old format had been the same since....wow!  I started this blog pretty shortly after I moved out to Baltimore.  So it's been at least 3 1/2 years.  CRAZY!I went for a run/walk this morning.  I probably ran about 2 miles and walked another mile.  I am hoping/planning to do another 5K at the end of June, so I should probably be running the whole 3 miles. I met with a florist this morning.  She was probably more unorganized that I expected (although that is a sign of creativity), but super enthusiastic about all my ideas and everything. I got to do practical things, like grocery shopping and laundry, and fun things like shopping and cooking.  Although I sliced off a big chunk of my middle fingernail while cooking, it was a good time.Friday was the practical day.  I did get to try some really awesome doughnuts from the Fractured Prune. I went to the Cold War Kids concert last Wednesday. They were lots of fun. One of the opening bands was also super awesome -- the Delta Spirit. From what I've found online, Delta Spirit must be pretty new, but they were fun and kind of folk rocky. The conference was okay, but getting the opportunity to travel all the way across the country made everything (including two full days of just travel!) worthwhile.  Kelly's parent's house was very nice and relaxing, especially since it is right on the water.  I spent time in Tacoma relaxing (staying in my pajamas until 2 pm!) and doing a little sightseeing. The chocolate took FOREVER to melt, however.  Even though it's semi-sweet, it still tastes really good.  I bet it'll be even more delicious when it cools and hardens.
